Weekend OOTD 6/23

Today we planned on going to the Great Lenexa BBQ Battle which was going on since Friday. I have always wanted to go and experience being in a bbq pit competition ground while taking advantage of the free tasting of each participant’s entries (if they ever give out samples).

MY OOTD:

It was unexpectedly dreary in the morning so I had to put on my ¾ sleeves cardigan as we head out to FirstWatch Café for breakfast. The cardigan was taken off in the afternoon when we went to the bbq event.

It was supposed to be a fun day but unfortunately we missed the event. As soon as we arrived to the cooking site, the competition was over. You just have no idea how infuriated I was. So I can't really say anything about the whole BBQ fest. 

Driving back home, my hubby decided that we just go treat ourselves for Italian buffet. We went to Cinzetti Eat All You Can Italian Feast which is located at Overland Park, Kansas. And what do you know? ...the food was indeed a feast! Everything from pizza, pasta, chicken to cannoli’s tastes great. I wish I could make a good review about this restaurant and how you can get the tuscan feeling while eating there but I'd rather share the experience with nice photos.

 

I was so hungry and eager to take a bite of my food so I have not even managed to take a picture of what I was eating (I guess I don’t have to). But I did take some shots of my dessert plate! Yuumm!
